Senior Software Engineer – 4G/LTE Products – Tecore Networks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves a key role in the development and definition of the LTE product line
  • Directs other developers in technical solutions and will be responsible for meeting milestones and performance requirements
  • Performs risk analysis, determines optimum architecture, and effectively and efficiently designs and develops LTE Core product that is functionally correct, reliable, and robust

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other directly related field
  • Minimum of eight years prior related experience in Telecomm industry, including at least 3 years in LTE/4G
  • Thorough working knowledge and hands-on experience of Software Development
  • Core knowledge of the LTE, including EPC inter-workings (MME and SAE). Knowledge is not limited to understanding the functionalities of EPC building blocks, but must include the interface/protocol knowledge between these entities
  • Basic RF knowledge in the LTE domain to be applied to the effective development of the LTE product and its utilizing expert knowledge of software design fundamentals
  • Real-time application programming is crucial for LTE applications so candidate must demonstrate expert knowledge in this area
  • Expertise in navigating/programming in a Linux environment using OOD/OOP C++, C, or shell scripting as appropriate
  • Ability to oversee the lifecycle of software development project so it can be applied to the LTE project. That includes carrying on the effort from specifications/requirements all the way to testing/deployment. Including documentation and code reviews
  • Working knowledge of the IP networks and good understanding IP Transport essentials
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams of engineers as well as train and coach others in order to get the project completed
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
