CCA Adds Two Additional Carriers to the CCA Device Hub
Washington, DC – April 13, 2017 – Today, Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) announced that two additional carriers, Vermont Telephone (VTel) and United Telephone Association, Inc. (United Telecom) have joined the CCA Device Hub (Hub), joining the six carriers previously announced last week during CCA’s 2017 Mobile Carriers Show in Las Vegas. The Hub, in partnership with Sprint, gathers and consolidates network and device data from participating carriers, which they can use to simplify and accelerate the device launch process.
“The Hub has experienced substantial growth over the past several weeks,” said Steven K. Berry, President & CEO of CCA, “and I’m delighted to add VTel and United Telecom to the Hub’s roster of carriers. Ten CCA carrier members are now actively participating in the Hub, with more carriers expected to join in the near term. With every additional participant, the aggregated buying power and the portfolio of devices offered is increased, benefiting both carriers and their subscribers. Many small carriers do not have the scope and scale to access the latest and most-coveted devices, and the Hub provides a pathway for access to advanced devices that consumers are demanding.”
“By providing a central platform for CCA carrier and associate members, the Hub enables participants to more efficiently and economically manage their device portfolios. CCA carrier members pride themselves on providing their customers with the best experiences, and I am pleased that competitive carriers will have the opportunity to achieve this goal through the Hub.”
CCA is the nation’s leading association for competitive wireless providers and stakeholders across the United States. The licensed service area of CCA’s nearly 100 carrier members covers 95 percent of the nation.
