CCA/West Research Report: 911 Technology & Trends

In August 2017, Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) anonymously polled its members to gather input on current industry challenges and to assess carriers’ ability to meet and report on 911 regulations. We also queried carriers about their plans and timing to offer new services to their subscribers.

The purpose of the research is twofold. First, regular input from carriers helps CCA plan and set the association’s policy agenda and provides a real understanding of where members stand on current issues. In addition, West uses this data to plan a portfolio of services and support that meet the unique needs of competitive providers—both today and in the future.

This report summarizes some of the key findings from our joint research. We hope it deepens your understanding of how other CCA members are addressing the challenges and opportunities of being a competitive wireless carrier. We invite you to use this information to inform strategic planning decisions within your organization around 911 technology.
