CCA Members Remain Committed to Meeting Hearing Aid Compatibility Requirements
Washington, DC – November 15, 2018 – Today, during its November Open Meeting, the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC” or “Commission”) adopted a Report and Order (“Order”) that updates Hearing Aid Compatibility (“HAC”) reporting requirements. Competitive Carriers Association (“CCA”) thanks the Commission for its work on HAC issues, as CCA members remain committed to ensuring that all consumers, including individuals with hearing loss, have access to advanced communications services.
In a statement, CCA President & CEO Steven K. Berry said, “CCA members continue to work with fellow wireless industry representatives, consumer representatives, and other stakeholders to achieve the important goal of meeting current and future HAC requirements for the benefit of consumers. Ensuring that all wireless carriers, including those serving rural areas of the country, can provide HAC-compliant devices to their consumers is critically important. CCA remains focused on this important issue and looks forward to reviewing the adopted Order.”
CCA is the nation’s leading association for competitive wireless providers and stakeholders across the United States. The licensed service area of CCA’s nearly 100 carrier members covers 95 percent of the nation. Visit www.ccamobile.org.
