CCA’s Director of Legislative Affairs Speaks on Bridging the Digital Divide at Congressional Round Table in Pennsylvania

Washington, DC – August 3, 2018 – Yesterday, Maribeth Collins, Director of Legislative Affairs at Competitive Carriers Association (“CCA”) participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by Congressman Tom Marino (R-PA) at Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA. The discussion, entitled “Rural Broadband: Bridging the Digital Divide,” also featured CCA carrier member company T-Mobile as well as representatives from the FCC, USDA Rural Development, the office of Governor Tom Wolf, and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

“CCA continues to lead the way in discussing strategies and reforms needed in order to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all Americans have equal access to mobile connectivity regardless of their zip code,” said CCA President & CEO Steven K. Berry. “I thank Congressman Marino for inviting Maribeth to represent CCA and our members. Consumers in rural communities need expanded connectivity to thrive in today’s global economy.

“I’m so pleased to have participated in such a thoughtful and robust discussion. As a native Pennsylvanian, I’m thrilled to see leaders at every level of the public and private sectors committed to connecting all Pennsylvanians across the state.”
