Oaxis Wins CCA’s Startup Pitch Competition

Washington, DC – April 18, 2018 – Today, Competitive Carriers Association (“CCA”) announced Oaxis as the winner of its start-up showcase competition, which took place during CCA’s 2018 Mobile Carriers Show (“MCS”) in Las Vegas. Eight companies participated in the showcase session – pitching their products and services to competitive carrier executives, technology leaders, and attendees.

At MCS, Oaxis pitched its “myFirst Fone S2,” a 3G smart watch geared for young children. myFirst Fone features voice and video calling, GPS tracking for parental peace of mind, geo-fencing, and several other safety features.

“I congratulate Oaxis for winning the start-up pitch competition at this year’s Mobile Carriers Show,” said CCA President & CEO Steven K. Berry. “Oaxis’ products, especially myFirst Fone S2, captured the attention of MCS attendees both in the start-up pitch session and in the exhibit hall.  With creative devices and solutions from companies like Oaxis, I am excited about the current and future innovative technologies in the competitive wireless marketplace.”

“Thank you to CCA for creating a forum that facilitates the introduction of innovative technology products and solutions into the vast network of competitive wireless providers,” said Oaxis CEO and Director G-Jay Yong.  “Our children’s safety and security are of heightened awareness across the globe. With myFirst Fone S2, Oaxis is harnessing the latest technologies to give parents piece of mind while offering a 2-way controlled communication device that keeps children engaged.”

Oaxis received a prize package that includes mentoring and marketing opportunities including:
