Joining together to improve the lives of Americans through delivery of communications services.
CCA was founded in 1992 by nine rural and regional wireless carriers as a carrier centric
organization. Since its founding, CCA has grown to become the nation’s leading association for competitive
communications services providers serving all areas of the United States.
Who We Are
Headquartered in Washington, DC, CCA advocates on behalf of its members’ interests and works to educate policymakers on the key issues that impact its members’ ability to compete, survive, and thrive. Currently these issues include access to spectrum, access to devices, access to networks, streamlining infrastructure deployment, universal service fund (USF) reform, and Next-Generation 911 (NG911) solutions, among others.
What We Do
Advocating before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the White House, and Congress, CCA works to ensure that its members’ voices and views are heard not only by policymakers but also by the media, third parties, and throughout the entire industry.
CCA is committed to being the premier advocacy organization for competitive carriers and stakeholders. CCA will use advocacy, leadership, education, and networking opportunities to help competitive
carriers grow and thrive.
Our Vision
CCA will be the leading organization for competitive carriers and stakeholders, joining together to improve the lives of Americans through delivery of communications services.
Washington, D.C. – Competitive Carriers Association President and CEO Tim Donovan made the following statement: “CCA is disappointed with the FCC’s decision to grant access the 4.9 GHz band to FirstNet and, by extension, AT&T. This move raises concerns about long-term local control of important public safety communication resources and represents an anti-competitive spectrum opportunity for AT&T.” For more information about CCA and its policy priorities, please visit ccamobile.org . ### About Competitive Carriers Association Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) is the leading association for competitive communications service providers and stakeholders across the United States.
