Statement by CCA President & CEO Steven K. Berry commending the introduction of a legislative package intended to help close the digital divide: “I thank Republican Members of the House Energy & Commerce Committee for their work to produce this legislative package regarding broadband permitting aimed to boost broadband connectivity for all Americans. Closing the digital divide is certainly a bipartisan goal, and CCA supports efforts to make the permitting process a win-win for carriers and permitting officers. Policymakers’ focus on ensuring broadband can be deployed in unserved and underserved areas is a real positive, and CCA is ready to work with Congress to help achieve this important goal.”

Washington, D.C. – Mobile carriers and communications service stakeholders across the nation and around the globe will convene at CCA’s Mobile Carriers Show (MCS) as Fierce Network presents its headline keynote panel, “Broadband Initiatives in the Trump Administration,” at the show. Hosted by Fierce Network on Tuesday, April 15, at 9:00 am MT, panelists will explore the broadband landscape during the Trump Administration, delving into the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and the 5G Fund for Rural America. The session, and all main stage keynotes, will be live streamed. CCA’s Mobile Carriers Show will take place on April 14-16 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
