CCA on Passing of the 5G SALE Act

December 12, 2023

Washington, D.C., – Competitive Carriers Association President and CEO Tim Donovan made the following statement:

“CCA commends Congress for passing S. 2787, the 5G Spectrum Authority Licensing Enforcement (SALE) Act and urges President Biden to swiftly sign it into law. This stopgap measure enables the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to license 2.5 GHz spectrum won at auction in 2022, and CCA hopes this momentum will carry into Congress fully reinstating FCC spectrum auction authority. This action is a positive step toward improving 5G connectivity and maintaining U.S. leadership in innovation for all businesses and consumers.”
